Chiropractic care can play an integral role in your overall health and the healing process. However, not everyone has had adjustments before, and some people may have uncertainty about them. It might seem odd to some that spinal alignment plays a key role throughout the entire body, but it’s true. The spinal column is made up of various components, including bones, discs, nerves, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. When a misalignment is present, each of these components can be impacted.

This not only leads to pain but also affects nerve function. If your nerves cannot do their jobs properly, it can lead to headaches, fatigue, and much more.

Chiropractic helps to remove postural imbalances and structural misalignments that can accumulate in our bodies over time. Chiropractic works by restoring your own inborn ability to be healthy. For your body to remain healthy, your nervous system must function well. For your nervous system to function well it must be free of interference. By restoring spinal function with chiropractic adjustments, nerve interference caused by misaligned vertebrae is removed, thus allowing optimal nervous system function and improved health.

Chiropractic is based on the idea of removing imbalances both structural and postural in an effort to allow our body to heal itself. For this to happen, the network of nerves and signals from your brain down your spinal cord to the network of nerves must be allowed to flow freely without any interruption. Chiropractors have the ability and skill to remove these interruptions, or misalignments, and allow the body to perform as it was meant to.

If you've ever been in a car accident, played a sport, fallen down, or just bumped into something too hard, it's very possible that you are not functioning at your best due to a misalignment. While there are many potential mechanical or structural causes for misalignment, there are also chemical reasons. For instance, if you smoke or drink excessively or even just have a poor diet, the chemical issues in your body can eventually cause underlying conditions and disease to appear.

Allowing a chiropractor to get you back on track both chemically and structurally will bring your body back to the proper state it should be in to perform at its peak.

Many people are comfortable with the idea of hearing pops and cracks while being adjusted. First and foremost, it’s important to understand that the sound is NOT your bones breaking. It is the release of the gas bubbles that have built up inside the misaligned area.

Additionally, you don’t have to worry about forceful adjustments or loud sounds if you are uncomfortable with such. We work within your comfort level to deliver relief - not create discomfort. There are many different types of adjustments, some much gentler than others. If you have concerns about adjustments, please bring them up to Dr. Matt. Your treatment plan will be designed around your specific needs and comfort.

At our office, we offer personalized chiropractic care tailored to everyone’s unique health needs and goals. Since the cost depends on understanding a person's health history and body function, we cannot provide a specific figure upfront. During your second visit, we will thoroughly discuss our care recommendations and provide you with relevant financial information. Our aim is to ensure you receive the best possible care while addressing any concerns you may have.

Except for Medicare Supplement/Medicare Advantage plan patients, we are currently a pay at the time-of-service clinic. Due to sky-high deductibles and steadily declining benefits for our patients, Nikolay Chiropractic has chosen to operate as a non-insurance clinic. Being a direct pay chiropractic clinic allows us to offer high quality, customized care at an affordable price and avoid the hassles of insurance billing, co-pays, deductibles, and declined reimbursements. However, if you want to utilize your health insurance, we can provide an itemized statement so you can request reimbursement from your insurance company.

We recognize that each individual has distinct health needs and objectives. Following a comprehensive consultation and examination, we can determine the optimal number of visits required to assist you in achieving your health goals. During your second visit, we will present our findings and provide you with our best recommendations for your personalized care plan. Our focus is on ensuring that you receive the most effective treatment to support your well-being.

We strive to maintain a balance between offering quality service and respecting your time. For your initial visit, we anticipate it will last approximately 30 minutes. To expedite the process, you can complete your intake forms in advance by clicking here. If your appointment includes you, along with family or friends, it may take slightly longer. After the first two visits, future appointments usually last about 15 minutes, allowing for efficient and effective care.

Absolutely! If you have any prior x-rays or MRI images, we encourage you to bring them along for your first appointment. The team at Nikolay Chiropractic will thoroughly review these records to gain a comprehensive understanding of your health history. Based on their assessment, they may advise further diagnostic imaging if necessary to ensure the most accurate and effective treatment plan for you. Your health and well-being are our top priorities, and having access to your previous medical information can be valuable in this process.
